How is Contiq Companion for PowerPoint different from the Contiq Web, the web-based application?

Contiq Companion works within powerpoint as an add-in. For marketers and sales, it provides the core capabilities to enable you to discover, tailor and publish great content right within powerpoint. The Contiq webapp provides administrators the capabilities they need to deploy Contiq for their organizations such as setting up teams, connecting their cloud drives and syncing their repositories of content with Contiq.

What is Contiq Companion for PowerPoint ?

Contiq Companion for powerpoint is a powerful tool that helps marketers discover, tailor and measure performance of their content all from within powerpoint. Salespeople can use this tool to discover and re-use highly relevant content published by marketers and other sales people.

Getting started

How do I search for content and refine my results?
  • To start a search, enter your search terms in the add-in search bar and click enter.
  • To flip between slide and deck search, click on the icons to the left of the search bar
How do I add my content to Contiq?
  • In the Contiq Companion for Powerpoint, go to the menu by clicking on the drop down menu next to your profile.
  • Click on ‘Add content’ and sync your cloud drives (Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive) or Upload your content.

  • That will take you to the webapp screen where you can upload your content from your Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or computer (Upload)


How do I sign up for an account with Contiq?
  • Your account admin will send you a link to invite you to join Contiq. Click on the link and create your account.
  • Once you’ve created your account, open powerpoint, and launch the add-in and use your login credentials to use the add-in.
How do I install the add-in?
  • You need to first create your account with Contiq. Just follow the links in the email from your administrator inviting you to join Contiq.
  • Your administrator will also email you the add-in setup file. If you don’t know who your administrator is, email support@contiq.com.
  • Download the add-in file, and click it to begin the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
  • Once installed, powerpoint will automatically launch.
  • Click Insert -> My Add-ins -> Contiq Companion Beta
  • Click on the Contiq icon on the top right of the ribbon to launch.

How do I update my powerpoint version?
  • To update your point version, go to Help -> Check for Updates
  • In the Microsoft AutoUpdate window, select the Manually Check option
What are the minimum requirements for using the Contiq Companion?
  • Contiq Companion is compatible with powerpoint version 16.16 and above.
  • To check your powerpoint version go to Powerpoint -> About Powerpoint
